Everything you need to develop a screenplay.

A focused toolset built around proven story structure — no bloat, no distractions. One canonical spine, eight frameworks, AI on every frame.

40-Frame Structure

The spine

Break your screenplay into 40 structural frames — the essential beats that shape every great film. Every turn, every pivot, mapped.

F·02DEFINING

8 Structural Lenses

One spine, eight frameworks

View one canonical story through 3-Act, 4-Act, Save the Cat, Hero's Journey, and four more — without rebuilding. A tab change, not a rewrite.

F·03

AI Writing Assistant

Powered by Claude

Per-frame generation, critique, and chat. The AI knows where each beat sits in your structure and writes accordingly.

F·04

Narrative Threads

Track what runs through

Follow characters, themes, motifs, and subplots as threads woven across frames. See what's developing and where it lands.

F·05

Version Control

Drafts, preserved

Track multiple drafts of each script with full versioning. Experiment freely — every version is preserved.

§ The defining difference

One canonical spine, re-rendered through eight frameworks.

In other tools, switching from a 3-Act outline to Save the Cat means rebuilding the story from scratch. In ActFrame, it's a tab change.

Elsewhere

One template, frozen.

  • ×3-Act outline = its own document
  • ×Save the Cat = a separate template
  • ×Hero's Journey = rebuild from scratch
  • ×Switching frameworks = losing work
ActFrame

One spine, eight lenses.

  • 3-Act · same canonical story
  • 4-Act · same canonical story
  • Save the Cat · same canonical story
  • Hero's Journey · same canonical story
  • + four more frameworks, one tab away
§ TRY IT

A three-step tour of the canvas.

No signup. Click through a real project — see the canvas, zoom into a beat, open a frame. These are the same surfaces the editor uses.

§ STEP 01 · THE CANVAS

Forty frames. One structure.

Every project lives on a 40-frame canvas. The lens you pick overlays beats onto those frames — swap any time without losing work.

§ Workflow

From blank page to structured screenplay.

Three steps from idea to draft. Each one builds on the last; each one's reversible.

Step 01

Create a project and script.

Set up your screenplay project in seconds. Title it, add your first script, start writing.

Step 02

Fill in your 40 frames.

Work through structural frames. Switch between flat list, 3-Act, 4-Act, Save the Cat, Hero's Journey — same story, new lens.

Step 03

Refine with AI.

Generate first drafts, get targeted critique, refine each frame until your structure sings. Powered by Claude.

Frequently asked questions

Is the $49 a subscription?

No. It's a one-time reservation fee. The $49 converts to bonus credits at activation, on top of your first month's allocation, and locks in founder pricing on every plan ActFrame ever offers.

What does "founder pricing locked for life" mean?

You get 30% off any monthly subscription and 20% off any credit pack, permanently. This rate survives cancellation — pause for a year, come back, and your founder rate is still there. It applies to you specifically, not just to a single subscription instance.

Why credit roll-over?

Most screenwriters work in bursts — heavy use during a project, light use between projects. Standard credit plans waste capacity you've paid for. Founders get 6-month roll-over so unused credits carry forward, matching how screenwriters actually work.

What is a founding member?

The first 100 people to reserve a seat. Founders get early access before public launch, permanent founder pricing on all plans, credit roll-over, a permanent badge, and direct input on the product roadmap through a quarterly survey and private channel.

When do I get access?

Access rolls out in four batches of 25 seats each: 1–25 first, then 26–50, then 51–75, then 76–100. You'll receive an email when your batch is activated.

What happens if I don't subscribe right away after activation?

Nothing — your founder rate doesn't expire. The double-credits bonus triggers on your first active month (subscription or credit pack), not on activation date, so the perk is there when you start your first project.

Will subscriptions and credit packs both be available at launch?

Yes. Monthly subscriptions for continuous users; credit packs for project-based users who don't want a recurring commitment. Founders get a discount on both.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. Full refund within 30 days, no questions asked. After 30 days, refundable if ActFrame does not launch within 6 months of your reservation.

What are credits?

Credits are the in-app currency for AI features — frame generation, critique, expansion, rewriting. Specific credit costs per action will be published before launch.
